    I own an Auto Repair Facility in the area. I had a Fleet clients vehicle that needed to have the Transmission Rebuilt. I have a normal re builder that does work for us that I trust but is in Rochester, so in order to save the drive time transporting the transmission to him I decided to give J's a try, and it was a major mistake. I explained to John at the beginning I needed to have a 1 year 12000 mile warranty which is standard in my experience and John seemed hesitant but agreed to warranty for the 1 year 12000 miles. At the point of the hesitation I should have walked but I let him do the rebuild. The transmission lasted 500 miles. We removed the transmission and took it to him and he had every excuse in the book other than his own poor workmanship. He blamed it on the driver abusing the van, which I know seems crazy the transmission went only 500 miles and had no problem going 100.000 miles with the original but these were the things he was saying. I had to push him along and he had a terrible attitude the entire time. So we finally got the transmission back again and installed. The second time the transmission lasted 2500 miles. So I contacted J's and we removed it and had taken it to him. He inspected. and called and said he was not going to warranty and again had every excuse there could be other than him being the problem. So we picked up the transmission, there was no way we were going to pay tweedle d to fix it, he is simply not capable, and when things go bad he is unwilling to Man up and stand behind his work even though it is under a warranty he agreed to. Our normal re builder inspected, found mis installation issues, also indicated J's did not do very clean work and also found an incorrect snap ring used in the transmission creating to much load on the rear of the trans. If you want quality work do not go to J's Auto service, he has no problem taking your money, but if he screws something up or something goes wrong, he will not Man up and stand behind it. He is totally delusional and sissy like. Negative stars, he doesn't deserve to be in business.
